Frequently Asked Questions

The thought of doing a boudoir session can be intimidating if you've never done one before, so I'm answer my 12 most frequently asked questions in this blog!

Do you share my images?

It's completely up to you! You can chose to share none, some, or all of them. Share them with the world or keep them private, the choice is 100% yours to make after your viewing appointment.

Do I have to wear lingerie?

Absolutely not! Boudoir is catered to what makes you feel beautiful! You can rock some lingerie but you can also grab an oversized sweater, some shorts and a crop top, a white t-shirt, or maybe just use the sheets to cover up. I do recommend bringing a variety of outfit choices and I can help you narrow them down.

Is hair and makeup included?

Yes! Professional hair and makeup is included for all of our boudoir shoots. It's really important for you to relax and feel pampered before your shoot. The hair and makeup team will help create the look you're going for, whether that's full on glam or something more subtle.

Do you photoshop my images?

I edit your images for color balance and lighting, but I do not alter your body in any way. Part of the boudoir experience is seeing yourself and loving yourself as you are. A good pose, awesome lighting, and great outfits is all you need to look like the best version of yourself.

Where should I buy outfits?

There are a ton of places to buy from depending on what you are looking for. Amazon, Victoria's Secret, Torrid, Forever21, Adoreme, hipsandcurves, Honey Birdette, etc. If you are looking for something specific, let me know and I can point you in the right direction.

What type of print products do you have?

We offer a variety of albums, metal prints, bedside glass boxes, and folio boxes. Our top sellers are the albums followed by the luxury glass boxes. Both of these are subtle enough to have out so that you can look at your pictures often!

Do you offer digitals?

Yes, both our Collections and our A La Carte menu have digitals as an option- it just depends how many you are looking for.

I'm freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

It's completely normal to be nervous before your shoot and at the beginning as well. The scariest part is walking in the front door, I promise by the time you are in your second outfit, it feels completely natural. Take some deep breaths and try to soak in the experience.

How many outfits should I bring?

We will shoot up to 5 outfits, so I'd bring a couple more so we can pick out the best options that will photograph well and show a variety.

Should I get to my shoot early?

Plan to arrive no more than 10 minutes early to your shoot. Prior to that, I am still getting the studio ready and hair and makeup is prepping as well.

Where is your studio located?

We are located on Main Street in Historic Downtown Hartford, WI. While I edit your images, I encourage you to eat and shop at the local businesses.
